Keeping it real with you. Here's exactly where Ciao Lou stands right now.
- It's a concept. The Lou Tag is a design concept still in development, not a finished or manufactured product. The design and specs may change.
- The pictures are renders. Every image is computer-generated to explore the design.
- No phone needed (by design). It's designed to translate offline on the pendant once your languages are set up in the Ciao Lou app — even if your phone dies, gets stolen, you lose reception, or you run out of data abroad. We'll confirm it on a tested prototype.
- No big promises yet. We're not sharing battery life, a language count or other specs until a prototype has been tested.
- No ship date. We won't give a timeline until production and compliance are sorted.
- Reservations, not orders. A $1 reservation holds your first-run spot. It's credited toward the final price, fully refundable anytime, and isn't a purchase of the pendant.
Our first 30 days: asking before we build
Before we build anything, we want to know if you'd actually love this. So for our first 30 days, we're running a small test, with a modest budget of about $2,000 on our side, to share the concept and see how many people reserve a spot.
A $1 reservation is the clearest way to tell us "yes, I'd wear that." If enough of you reserve, we'll move on to a real prototype and keep you posted every step of the way. If not, we'll learn from it, rethink, and refund every reservation.
